N E W   B U S I N E S S

 

1.                  Bids for lawn mowing services were due on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at
4:00 p.m.  Mr. Swigert will present recommendations based on the bid opening.

 

2.                  Bids for the Fall Athletic Program were due on Wednesday, April 8, 2008. Mr. Swigert will present recommendations based on the bid opening.

 

3.                  Bids for the high school security surveillance project will be reconsidered.

 

4.                  Included with the agenda materials is a copy of the revised high school security surveillance project specifications, which Mr. Kuntzman will review.

 

5.                  Approval is requested for the renewal of membership in the Illinois High School Association.  Continued membership entitles Taylorville High School to participate in 2008-2009 school year IHSA activities, provided entry fees are received by the deadline for each activity (Athletics, Scholastic Bowl, Speech, Art, and Music).

 

6.                  Lively, Mathias, and Hooper, Ltd. has completed the school district’s audit for several years.  They have submitted the enclosed proposal for performance of the FY07 school district audit.

 

7.                  Building Trades House #24, located at #6 Delmar Court, is nearing completion and will be ready for sale by the end of the school year.  We recommend that the Board approve the solicitation for sealed bids for Board consideration at the
June 9, 2008 board meeting.

 

8.                  As part of the PRESS subscription service, the Illinois Association of School Boards has submitted several policy updates for Board consideration.
